The weather was gorgeous here this weekend and we had a great family nature hike followed by some quality swing set time!

We celebrated with the Manjos at the Halloween spooktacular at Gray Animal Farm. Abby kept saying she wanted to eat Maddie – because she as “bacon” (Piglet).

Apple Picking

Then: in January we went on the most fantastic trip to Disney with Grammie, Grampy, Auntie Em. We had a wonderful time and can’t thank Grammie and Grampy enough!

It was Abby’s first time on a plane!

We kicked off the week with a character breakfast.

Abby’s fairy godmother turned her into a real princess!

And we saw a Lion King show with our cousins! We did a lot more too and had the best time ever!

Now:
Today we went to a beach I heard about at work last week that’s only about 15 minutes from our house. We loved it. We went for a couple of hours this morning and liked it so much we went back after Abby’s nap! What a find!

Abby, Caleb and Noah had a great time on the swing set this winter. What snow?

Abby and I spent the morning with Auntie Em at the butterfly place! We had a great time!

Yeah! The blog is back thanks to the discovery of the wordpress app! Sorry about the hiatus. So much to catch up on. Where to start?

Ok, current status for posterity’s sake. Abby is now almost 5, just finished her first “school year” of pre-school in Miss Laurie’s room at Toddle Inn, and is reading! She’s in summer camp now and went on her first field trip this week – to the beach!

Ok, you all know these things, but I had to catch up the blog. Cute pics coming soon!

The Thing

Abby and Caleb had a sleep-over at Gram and Grampy’s this weekend. They went to the Farmington fair and had a great time! The “adults” spent the night at camp and also had a great time, even though it was COLD! Here’s Abby in Grampy’s “Thing” on Saturday.

Ocean Point

Labor Day weekend we went to Ocean Point for our annual trip! Josh, Danis, and Caleb joined us for the first few days.

We went to the aquarium…

And to the Railroad Museum…

And spent lots of time at the playground!

Abby found a scooter someone had left on the playground and got pretty good at riding it…

… until she fell on her face and ended the week with a “boo-boo” on her nose.

But we had a great week! Toward the end of the week she seemed to start to realize that we were at the ocean, not just the place with the playground.

We even visited the chapel a couple of times. Here’s to many more vacations at Ocean Point!

Abby’s Three!

Abby had a GREAT birthday, with lots of friends and family, and Dora EVERYWHERE She had a great day, and loved being with everyone for her party. Even Daddy and Mommy were invited in the end! Here are a few pictures of the party courtesy of Grampa “by the farm.”

And Caleb had a great time too! He showed us his latest move – a somersault!

And by the time it was all over, cleaned up, and the guests went home, Abby relaxed in her new “Abby” chair from Auntie Em. Beware: This is the last picture taken of Abby with her pacifier!

On Abby’s “real” birthday, the paci fairy came and took all Abby’s pacis to give them to all of the “little babies” who needed them. I’ll be honest. I cried when I took the one off her pillow while she slept. Our “baby” is gone. But she’s done a GREAT job and we are paci-free!
