Abby and Caleb had a sleep-over at Gram and Grampy’s this weekend. They went to the Farmington fair and had a great time! The “adults” spent the night at camp and also had a great time, even though it was COLD! Here’s Abby in Grampy’s “Thing” on Saturday.
Labor Day weekend we went to Ocean Point for our annual trip! Josh, Danis, and Caleb joined us for the first few days.
We went to the aquarium…
And to the Railroad Museum…
And spent lots of time at the playground!
Abby found a scooter someone had left on the playground and got pretty good at riding it…
… until she fell on her face and ended the week with a “boo-boo” on her nose.
But we had a great week! Toward the end of the week she seemed to start to realize that we were at the ocean, not just the place with the playground.
We even visited the chapel a couple of times. Here’s to many more vacations at Ocean Point!
Abby had a GREAT birthday, with lots of friends and family, and Dora EVERYWHERE 
She had a great day, and loved being with everyone for her party. Even Daddy and Mommy were invited in the end! Here are a few pictures of the party courtesy of Grampa “by the farm.”
And Caleb had a great time too! He showed us his latest move – a somersault!
And by the time it was all over, cleaned up, and the guests went home, Abby relaxed in her new “Abby” chair from Auntie Em. Beware: This is the last picture taken of Abby with her pacifier!
On Abby’s “real” birthday, the paci fairy came and took all Abby’s pacis to give them to all of the “little babies” who needed them. I’ll be honest. I cried when I took the one off her pillow while she slept. Our “baby” is gone. But she’s done a GREAT job and we are paci-free!
Abby went through a stretch this summer when all she wanted, every night, was for Daddy to take her to the stream down the road so that she could throw rocks in it. Ah, Father/Daughter adventures!
I know, I know. I have a lot to catch up on. I’ll try to get caught up this week. So let’s start a couple of months ago – with the annual Chamberlin/Robbins/Ferris/Dreher All-Star Birthday. What a great weekend at camp! The kids always have a great time, and the big “kids” do to! This year we had a great “surprise” – Zach came for a visit over the All-Star weekend! Always great to have him home. We love you Zulu!

Abby spend last weekend with Gram and Grampa in Canton/Weld! They all had a great time at home in Caton, camp, the farm, and the Animal Kingdom in Mt. Vernon. Thanks to Art, we have some pictures of the weekend. Here are some of Abby in Megan’s old dance costumes – so cute! And the word on the street is that Meg loved the french braids when she was that age too!

As a mini-tribute to the conclusion of the Tour de France, I thought I would share this photo that I LOVE. A co-worker created it for me for Dad’s birthday a few years ago, and I stumbled on it last week on my computer. Talk about timely! Lance has got nothing on Grampy!

For those of you who haven’t seen this before, yes – that’s Abby on his shoulders
A couple of weekends ago Adam and I went to see Billy Joel and Elton John at Gillette (thanks for the great birthday present honey!) and Abby spend the weekend with Mimi and Grampa. On Saturday they went to Bethel to see the Mollyocket Day parade! Abby loved it, especially the candy the kids threw! Here’s a picture of Abby and Mimi from that weekend.
Daycare was closed the Monday after July 4, so I took the day of to hang out with my girl. We had a SUPER day! She was so good and we had a great time. First we went to Unum so that my work friends could see how big she was. On the way there, we went over the “rules” for work - no yelling and no screaming. She’s been on a little kick where she is spitting, and she did in in the car, so I told her “no spitting!” We got to work and she was shy at first, but warmed up quickly. I thought it was cute that she had been following the rules, so I asked her to tell them to some of the girls. She said, “No yelling, no crying, and no spitting!” They thought that was hilarious!
Then we went to Smiling Hill Farm to play on the “playground” – wooden structures that are built to look things like tractors, planes, and trains. Then we got ice cream – she insisted on chocolate
Then we went to see the ducks, made a stop at the port-a-potty (a first for Abby) and our final stop was the “John Deer-a-saurus.”
We did some grocery shopping, ate lunch, took a nap party, and then played in the sprinkler. She was such a good girl all day. So much fun!
Last Thursday we headed to camp to meet (most of) the rest of the Chamberlin clan – Josh, Danis, Caleb, Matt, Megan, Jeff, Gram, and Grampa (And of course, Maggie and Ninja)! It rained for much of the time, but we took advantage of any break in the weather. Abby spent much of the weekend in her rain boots, but we had a great time. Abby especially loved the boat rides – paddle and motor. We didn’t bring our camera, but I stole this picture from Art’s new FaceBook page.
